  • 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet of active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 large egg yolks

  • 3 1/2 fluid ounces boiling milk

  • 2/3 cup poppy seeds, finely ground
  • 3 1/2 fluid ounces milk
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 lemon, zested
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 7 tablespoons melted butter, for brushing the dough


  1. In a bowl that is safe to microwave, add the flour and cook for 30 seconds on High. Add the dry yeast and stir.
